A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Nationwide Children's Hospital since 2021 and a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy, Nicolette provides therapeutic recreation services in both inpatient acute care and outpatient dialysis environments, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support the physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of patients. She is an active member of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association and is committed to advancing evidence-based therapeutic recreation practice.

Almost called "How we failed to remake 'Fruit Ninja'", Nationwide Children's Hospital discusses ideation and development of CRUNCH VR; a prototype XR game for pediatric dialysis patients. CRUNCH VR teaches healthy eating habits through play and by externalizing their own care onto a digital companion.
