CHLOE CAPUANO
Child Life Educator | Nationwide Children's Hospital
Chloe is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) and Child Life Educator at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Chloe earned her Master’s degree in Child Life from Texas Woman’s University in 2020. She has been with Nationwide Children’s since 2021, where she worked as a child life specialist in the outpatient medical specialty clinics, Emergency Department, and dialysis unit. In 2025, she transitioned into the role of Child Life Educator, where she supports the child life student program and provides education to hospital staff to promote developmentally appropriate and emotionally safe care for patients and families. Chloe also collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on quality improvement projects focused on enhancing emotional safety throughout the patient experience. She has a particular passion for patient education and developing resources that help children and families understand their healthcare experiences and build effective coping skills.

Almost called "How we failed to remake 'Fruit Ninja'", Nationwide Children's Hospital discusses ideation and development of CRUNCH VR; a prototype XR game for pediatric dialysis patients. CRUNCH VR teaches healthy eating habits through play and by externalizing their own care onto a digital companion.
