GDEX 2026 Presentation: Digital Dance: Building a Bridge Between Digital Game Development and Performing Art
See inside a recent collaborative project from Ohio University's game dev students and the school of dance. The project makes use of Unreal Engine design software, LED video walls, and physical and virtual video production. The project represents a unique opportunity for cross-discipline collaboration and provides insight into how different artists, designers, and creatives can use and gain skills. For experienced and aspiring game developers, artists, and makers, the project represents one of many ways disciplines can collide to produce unique work. The more experience creative and technical creators have in multidisciplinary projects, the greater their understanding of both their own specialty and how it fits into the larger conversation of game development's role in professional, educational, and creative work.
